LAND ALTERATION
Land Alterations: Filling, grading, or excavating, on shore land property requires a land alteration permit if the activity that you are planning exceeds certain limits.
Planning on restoring the eroding shoreline on this property with a rip rap revetment. As recommenced by the Minnesota DNR, a 3:1 slope will be maintained, 8 oz geo-textile fabric and straw blanket will be installed for the filter layer and added erosion protection, 12"-36" native rock will be used to construct the revetment. Equipment will be used for this project. We will also install a silt fence in the lake to protect against disruption of the lakebed. We are also landscaping the rest of the yard on this property which includes regrading and laying sod.

EROSION CONTROL PRACTICES

A silt fence will be installed in the water prior to beginning work on the shoreline. Straw blanket and 8oz geo-textile fabric will be installed underneath the rip rap shoreline for erosion control.
