LAND ALTERATION


Land Alterations: Filling, grading, or excavating, on shore land property requires a land alteration permit if the activity that you are planning exceeds certain limits.
 
Field is required.Backfill around existing septic tanks to control existing erosion and prevent future issues. In order to access the back side of the septic tanks, a work access area of gravel/millfeed had to be established to provide the equipment adequate access and traction to appropriately back fill that area from multiple sides. Large rocks and dry crushed rock filled in on all sides of the two existing septic tanks. Gravel was then added to level the ground. Type 5 fabric was laid across the entire surface and down the edges of the work access area to eliminate erosion and run off. On the right side, black dirt was added to the slope. It was then covered by landscape grass/fabric, additional grass seed, several trees, along with wildflower seeds. On the left-hand side, landscape fabric was run top to bottom. Rip Rap was placed over the edge of the slope. Multiple layers of landscape timbers are being attached to the ground to hold the rip rap in terraced landings across the side.
