LAND ALTERATION


Land Alterations: Filling, grading, or excavating, on shore land property requires a land alteration permit if the activity that you are planning exceeds certain limits.
 
Field is required.Create a 50' wide view shed to lake by removing dead and hazardous trees and leaving the live understory and trees to the fullest extent possible. Remove dead trees in pockets within the 100' zone. Attached pictures, and map Excavate the shoreline above the OHWL paralleling the shoreline 18’ and 15’ away from the shoreline for a flat useable shoreline space (70 cuyds). Access to this area will entail a gradual sloped 12’ wide path. Install Rip rap along the shoreline, DNR guidelines are to be followed to as where an individual DNR Public Waters Work Permit is not required. Excavation of an area for a holding tank and piping. Permit is being applied for.

Field is required.Total area to be excavated and fill entails work done within the 100' shore impact zone is in concentrated to areas for the 18x15 area. And fill amount is for erosion control (rip rap). Graded area is for 12' access path. Beyond the 100' impact zone other excavation/fill/grading amount will exceeds 50 cu yds. Grade/filling this area is to ensure any runoff to occur is to be contained in the lot and not towards the lake (see map).

Field is required.Slope the15x18 flat area back away from the lake shore side to create negative drainage to the lake. This will prevent runoff/erosion provide an earthen filter within this small area. The water’s edge of this area will have fabric, rip rap, grass seeding, placed to prevent erosion on both edges of the water line (part of the DNR Rip Rap plan). Rip rap for proactive stabilization of disturbed edges with fabric placed behind rip rap, plant trees, place straw matting and seed within disturbed areas. Place earthen water bars on path to lake. Use straw matting, seeding, coarse gravel to prevent runoff and erosion. Gently sloping worked areas to prevent erosion and placing erosion control material on disturbed ground. Grade/fill yard to ensure any runoff to occur is to be contained in the lot and not towards the lake edge.
